Today I was invited along by a friend to Silverstone racetrack for his Exige Experience. I took my camera and here are some of the shots I got. There are some great shots of the sky and on the way home I did some long exposure shots which came out quite well I think.

My Dad recently took delivery of his new Harley Davidson. I’m not sure what it is, I think he said it was a ‘Rocker C’ but I could be mistaken. Anyway I decided to take a few pics of it, not very much at the moment and only one of these I like but as soon as the weather picks up then my Dad wants me to take some more outside.

Got my new lens today and so I started shooting random stuff. I’m now looking at macro lenses to get really close up. I might try these shots again with the kit lens as it is better for close up, seeing as the new lens is 30mm fixed it’s a wide angle lens. Good for sunsets on holiday though!

The trailing lights are from the LED on the front of my external hard drive. FUN!

So today I got my new camera.
A Canon 400D (Digital Rebel XTi) DSLR. It is, in a word, AWESOME! I’m pretty crap at the moment because there are soo many variations. My first assignment is to take a picture of trailing car lights on a busy road. Then I will post up the results. I might have to fight the urge to Photoshop these images, but then again they do look better after Photoshop (or in case at the moment Adobe Lightroom).
There are photos that I took experimenting with the Macro setting. Loving the bury background with shallow depth of field. More to come soon!
