Hydrogen Fuel Cell Not Just For Cars

I found this very interesting article about a hydrogen fuel cell powered phone! Of all things! This is the first live piece of technology I have seen to be powered by such technology other than cars. This leads to the interesting question about what else could be powered by such fuel cells - Laptops? Cameras? What would the benefits be of using such technology rather than traditional batteries?

All well and good till it explodes and leaves a small crater in your pocket. Hydrogen fuel cells can explode, dispite the last paragraph of the article. Also (and I am no expert on the subject) I believe hydrogen fuel cells need a platinum catalyst, a friend tells me that there isn’t enough platinum in the world for hydrogen fuel cells to be viable.
